Hello there… I’m Jarrod Brown, DDS, the newest addition to McGibony and Associates. I bring with me almost 25 years of dental experience, a love for new dental technologies, and more importantly a love for my patients.
I am originally from Danville, Virginia where I graduated at the top of my high school class. I then went to George Mason University on a full scholarship where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. I then went immediately to the Medical College of Virginia (a part of Virginia Commonwealth University) where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. My love for my faith and the Church later led me to the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Florida, where I earned a Doctor of Worship Studies degree. So, you can (for fun) call me “Doctor Doctor.”
Obviously, I’m all about education, so I love learning new things about dentistry. I’m currently learning about new restorative materials, and better ways to detect oral cancer earlier. I hope soon to join Dr. McGibony in offering Invisalign services to my patients to help them have straighter teeth that make for a more healthy smile. I am also working closely with our dental hygienists to help our patients have the best periodontal care we can give. It is so important to me that all our patients leave our office as healthy as possible and understanding all the options they have to better their oral health in the future.
I am so blessed to be in this office with Dr. McGibony and our team of office professionals, dental assistants and dental hygienists. Everyone here is so positive and cares deeply about our patients as people and as extended family. That is the way I have always wanted to treat my patients as well, so working here in Statesboro is the perfect fit for me.
My wife, Lisa, and I currently live in Guyton, GA with my mother, Judi, and our two sons, Trevor and Nathan. We are actively involved in our church, St. Luke’s Episcopal, where Lisa and I sing in the choir, help serve communion, and where I am a member of the vestry (church council). I also love to read, watch historical dramas on TV, and Lisa and I enjoy traveling. Trevor is a high academic achiever and is involved in Theatre Guild and gives the announcements each morning at South Effingham High School. Nathan is involved in band and basketball and attends South Effingham Middle School. We have only been in Georgia for eighteen months, so we are continuing to find great ways to plug ourselves into the community. We love our new home and community and are looking forward to serving the patients of this area for many years to come.
