"Hello there… I’m Jarrod Brown, DDS, the newest addition to McGibony and Associates. I bring with me almost 25 years of dental experience, a love for new dental technologies, and more importantly, a love for my patients." — Dr. Brown
Dr. Brown is originally from Danville, Virginia where he graduated at the top of his high school class. He then went to George Mason University on a full scholarship where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish. Dr. Brown went immediately to the Medical College of Virginia (a part of Virginia Commonwealth University) where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1997. His love for his faith and the Church later led him to the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Florida, where he earned a Doctor of Worship Studies degree. So, you can (for fun) call him “Doctor Doctor.”
Obviously, he is all about education & new technology, and loves learning new things about dentistry. Dr. Brown is currently learning about new restorative materials, and better ways to detect oral cancer earlier. Dr. Brown hopes to join Dr. McGibony in offering Invisalign services to his patients to help them have straighter teeth that make for a more healthy smile. He is also working closely with the dental hygienists to help patients have the best periodontal care we can give. It is so important to Dr. Brown that all their patients leave our office as healthy as possible and understanding all the options they have to better their oral health in the future.
"I am blessed to be in this office with Dr. McGibony and our team of office professionals, dental assistants and dental hygienists. Everyone here is so positive and cares deeply about our patients as people and as extended family. That is the way I have always wanted to treat my patients as well, so working here in Statesboro is the perfect fit for me."
Dr. Brown and his wife, Lisa, currently live in Guyton, GA with his mother, Judi, and their two sons, Trevor and Nathan. They are actively involved in their church, St. Luke’s Episcopal, where Lisa and Dr. Brown sing in the choir, help serve communion, and where he is a member of the vestry (church council). He also loves to read, watch historical dramas on TV, and he and his wife enjoy traveling. Trevor is a high academic achiever and is involved in Theatre Guild and gives the announcements each morning at South Effingham High School. Nathan is involved in band and basketball and attends South Effingham Middle School. They have only been in Georgia for eighteen months and are continuing to find great ways become involved in the community. Dr. Brown and his family love their new home and community and are looking forward to serving the patients of this area for many years to come.
