Dr. Jason R. McGibony

Dr. Jason R. McGibonyDr. Jason McGibony joined Dr. Jack Proctor's dental practice in 1999 and is a life-long resident of Statesboro, GA. He is the 1989 valedictorian of Portal High School; in 1994 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University and then graduated in 1999 from the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine. Dr. McGibony is active in the community and has participated in the American Cancer Society, sponsoring and volunteering at the Diamond Ball and Relay for Life. He is also a volunteer for the Hearts and Hands Dental Clinic in Statesboro, GA. He is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. McGibony understands the importance of continuing education and wants to be able to offer his patients the latest in dental technology and technique. Dr. McGibony has continued his education at such events as The Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, GA. He is also certified in Invisalign (clear braces) and CEREC crowns (single visit porcelain crowns) and is your preferred Invisalign provider for the Statesboro area. Dr. McGibony and his wife Michele, who is an professor of Chemistry at Georgia Southern University, have two daughters.

Dr. Henry J. Proctor

Dr. Henry J. ProctorDr. Jack Proctor is a life-long resident of Bulloch County and was in the first graduating class of Southeast Bulloch in 1956. He graduated from Emory at Oxford and received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from Emory University in 1963. He joined the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and served with the Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, SC from 1963 until 1965. In 1965 he returned to Statesboro and worked with Dr. John Jackson for six years until he opened his own practice in 1971 where he is still practicing today. He enjoys continuing his education and has attended such events as the Chicago Dental Meeting in Chicago, IL and The Hinman Dental Meeting in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Proctor is a Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Proctor has been very active in his community and has received the Deen Day Smith Service to Mankind Award. He has been Vice President of the Jaycees, President of the Scottish Heritage Society, Deacon of First Baptist Church and has volunteered his time at many events including the Kiwanis Fair and Hearts and Hands Clinic in Statesboro, GA. He has also served on the Bulloch County Board of Education for 10 years, two of which he served as Chairman. Dr. Proctor is a member of Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. He has also served on all chair positions of the Southeast District Dental Society. Dr Proctor and his wife Beverly have two sons, one daughter and 13 grandchildren.

Dr. Thomas E. Marshall

Dr. Thomas E. MarshallDr. Thomas Marshall joined the practice of Dr. McGibony & Associates in the summer of 2013.  Dr. Marshall moved to the Statesboro area with his parents in 1990.  He is the great-nephew of our own Dr. Henry J. Proctor, and has many family ties to the Bulloch County area.  Dr. Marshall is an honor graduate of Statesboro High School, class of 2005.  He then attended the University of Georgia where he studied chemistry and graduated magna cum laude with honors.  He then moved to Birmingham to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where he was the recipient of a four-year academic scholarship for scholastic achievement.  While in school, Dr. Marshall participated in research on implant-supported dentures and removable partials as well as enrolled in additional classes to enhance his endodontic techniques.  Dr. Marshall received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2013, and was the recipient of the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics Award for outstanding achievement and contribution to the field of prosthodontics (crowns, partials and dentures).  He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association, as well as the Academy of General Dentistry.  He has attended and volunteered with the Hinman Dental Meeting as well as the UAB Alumni Association, and continues to pursue academic and clinical advancement.  In addition, he has participated in missions work overseas, serving in dental clinics in Brazil and Guatemala.  Dr. Marshall's parents, Tom and Vicky Marshall, are school teachers in the Bulloch County School System.  Dr. Marshall has a fox-red yellow lab named Moose.

Dr. Kathryn W. Mentzer

Dr. MentzerDr. Kathryn Mentzer was born and raised in Metter, GA.  She was the 1987 Valedictorian of Metter High School; after graduating, she attended the university of Georgia and received a degree in Business Administration wit ha minor in Chemistry in 1991.  She then attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, GA, where she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1995. Upon completion, the Air Force moved her family to San Antonio, Texas where she resided and practiced for a year in a civilian practice, returning to Georgia the following year to practice in Valdosta from 1996 – 1998.  She continued moving with her family for the next 15 years in the Air Force including assignments in San Diego, CA; Washington, DC, and Anchorage, Alaska.  She has maintained her dental licenses in Georgia and Texas since 1995 and has continued to improve her dental knowledge through continuing education courses to include the Hinman Dental Meeting, the Texas Meeting of the Texas Dental Association, and the Federal Services Dental Meeting in Anchorage, Alaska.  After many years away, she has recently moved back to Georgia, and has been a volunteer with the Hearts and Hands Dental Clinic in Statesboro.  Dr. Mentzer currently resides in Metter with her two daughters and sons.
